Once again, it was Cinderella, Ce Macho! a timeless show with a text rewritten for this 3.0 version. Sébastien Ministru's score has been polished and refurbished, Nathalie Uffner's direction meticulously revamped and the cast revamped from top to bottom!
Once upon a time, the story of Cinderella, a beautiful boy from the bottom rung of the ladder who - one evening at a ball - falls for the heir to the crown. The arrows fired by Sébastien Ministru at the stereotypes of the fairy tale have not finished being amusingly political.
Finally, once again there's an irresistible playlist, flashy costumes and festive choreography that will make you want to dance, miss the coach, and go home well, well after midnight.

The main aim of this event is to share knowledge about the anatomy of people with a uterus and the cyclical aspect of their hormonal functioning. The so-called "menstrual" cycles can be thought of as much more than ovulations and menstruations, with each "season" having its own specific characteristics in every area of our lives: mood, food, libido, energy, etc. Knowing the general trends, while being aware of your own specificities, can have the potential to transform the way you relate to yourself and to others.
But we'll also be making room together for non-binary and/or trans people who take hormones on a daily basis and would also like to open up a space for reflection on their cyclicality.
A workshop that is safe, inclusive and specifically designed for LGBTQIA+ people.
The workshop will be more useful and relevant for people who do not use hormonal contraception.
The workshop will be facilitated by Noémie Girard (she/they), psychologist and queer psychoanalyst.

In 2023, we proudly celebrate 20 years since the enactment of the law allowing same-sex marriage. The City of Brussels, through the initiative of its Mu seums and Archives, would like this anniversary to be marked in time. Theatrical lecture on the LGBTQIA+ struggles and the construction of gender through personal narratives
The aim of the show is to raise awareness of gender and LGBTQIA+ issues. The conference invites young and old alike to question their sexual orientation and gender identity. With an anti-discrimination message, she analyses and describes the struggles of LGBTQIA+ people.
A psychorigid and zany lecturer leads the proceedings with precision, while the memories that overwhelm her are revealed in slam poetry. Halfway between a lecture providing theoretical knowledge and a life story, the journey of a person at the heart of the acronym from L to Q. Punctuated by games, exchanges and humour, it makes the story of a struggle accessible and deciphers it. The parodied lecture is followed by a discussion with the audience.

Workshop to make busts of selected queer and fat people.
As queer and fat people, we're often among the forgotten in activist and cultural activities, and we're exhausted! So let's get together for a moment of care. Because if we want to fight our battles, we need to take care of our energy. To do this, Laura is proposing a bust-making workshop, during which we will reproduce a copy of our bodies.
This will enable us to look at the shape of our body face to face, without the distortion that disphoria can send back to us in a mirror. We can touch it, wrap our arms around it. And maybe, who knows, we'll be able to (re)affirm our love for it?
Once we've finished making our busts, we'll have a chance to personalise them with paint. With the agreement of the participants (to be discussed during the workshop), the busts will then be exhibited at Les Grands Carmes during Pride Week to claim - and take - our place!

Poetry evening and photo exhibition on the stigmatisation of LGBTQIA+ identities
As LGBTQIA+ people who identify with a label, we have difficulty being seen in this way. We are often invalidated by people who have a specific idea of who we should be, with rules and preconceived ideas imposed on us in order to put us in a box. As soon as we don't adhere to these criteria, our right to be identified is taken away.
This poetry evening will allow the queer poets taking part to talk about their personal experience of the label with which they identify, and the feeling of illegitimacy that follows. Whether this is because of other people, or their own idea of who they should be to fit in better.
There will also be a photo exhibition featuring LGBTQIA+ photographers and models.
Join us at this event that will break the silence on this stigmatised validity!

Who are transgender people and what do we mean by "gender identities"? What are the most common misconceptions and why do they raise questions? What are the human rights implications of the legal situation of trans* persons and in what direction is it currently evolving in Europe, in Belgium?
From childhood, we were taught that people were either 'girls' or 'boys'. In science, we were taught that there were males and females and that was that. In reality, is it really that simple?
In conversations, in the media, we often hear talk of gay, lesbian, straight, transgender, sexual orientations, gender identities and so on. But what exactly do these expressions mean?
Society harbours a number of beliefs and prejudices that reduce people who do not conform to the norm to simplistic, often pejorative and demeaning schemes. Transgender people are particularly vulnerable to the negative consequences of discrimination. Transgender people are especially vulnerable to this. The aim of this workshop is to raise public awareness of trans identity in an accessible and interactive way and show how the social construction of gender norms and stereotypes can lead to exclusion and discrimination.

The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman is a documentary play that tells the story of how the small town of Laramie, Wyoming, in 1998 had to deal with the hate crime of which Matthew Shepard was the victim, a young gay man found tied to a fence after being brutally beaten up.
On the scene appear local residents, friends of Matthew and his two executioners, religious and political leaders, activists, police, judges... Through this kaleidoscope of characters, we see an America on the margins, facing its own demons.
The originality of this project lies in the fact that it is performed by a group of 15 young amateur actors aged between 15 and 18. So it is a performance with a strong subject, played by teenagers who take up the theme of homophobia and discrimination to give their own take on it, in which their own concerns resonate.

All you have to do is watch them on stage: observe how the group carries this fire, these vibrations, and this trance abandons itself to this ballet of rhythms and propels its transcended audience as far as it can, between Kinshasa, Paris, and Cuba.Sung in Lingala, composed of percussion and produced with punk and rock influences, Tshegue's music reflects its hybrid character: a direct descendant of ancestral sounds, it is contemporary and documented, full of political, artistic, and personal questions. On May 18, 2024, Brussels Pride celebrates inclusion with concerts, performances, and activist speeches. The Pride March departs at 2:00 p.m. from Mont des Arts. Theme: "Safe Everyday Everywhere". A Pride Village with associations and activities, Pride Safer Zones, and the Rainbow Village liven up the city center. Join us for a day of advocacy and celebration of diversity!
On 18 May 2024, from 12 noon, join us for Brussels Pride 2024 - In the capital of Europe. This annual celebration, an ode to inclusion, will be held on two main stages featuring concerts, artistic performances and activist speeches. The Pride March will start at 2pm from the Mont des Arts. Join us for a memorable day of celebrating diversity in all its forms, which strives to promote a more inclusive future for all. This year's theme is Safe Everyday Everywhere, a vision which aims to create a society where everyone can feel free and safe every day, everywhere.
In addition to the concerts and stage performances, a Pride Village will be waiting for the public with a host of associations and activities. Alongside this, Pride Safer Zones will be set up around the stages to provide safe spaces to take a break or be looked after by health services at any time of the day. The Rainbow Village and its LGBTQIA+ establishments, located in the Saint-Jacques district in the heart of the capital, will also be livening up the streets of the city centre throughout the weekend. Discover the programme and take part in this day of protest and celebration!

How do we feel the impact of events which are so much larger than us, move through us, and animate and activate our bodies all the time? Ten performers enact a glacially morphing tableau vivant on a mobile raft-like stage. Their voices generate a score that crescendos and resonates as they clutch, careen and cleave in a space too small to contain them, spilling off the edges. The scenes shown reference at times images from classical iconography. Tenderness and violence, sensuality and brute force cohabitate. The audience sits all around as if watching a boxing match, embanking the performers, close enough to smell their sweat and feel the steam of the spiralling scenes. Celebrated American choreographer Faye Driscoll returns to the festival with a multi-sensory flesh and breath sculpture made of bodies, sounds, scents, liquids and objects. She pushes her performers to their limits in this compelling, adventurous work, presented in the impressive Horta Hall, originally an exhibition space for sculptures. Weathering is an ode to the inexhaustible physical power of queer bodies.

Good morning Pride! Wake up in the boundary-pushing world of La Barakakings with a free brunch and drag show filled with humor, darkness and sensuality. Sip on a mimosa alongside a macho athlete, clumsy lover and magical paramour.
Featuring Raoul Les Mécaniques, Dicklan, Lil·X·ir, Mama Tituba and Enby Valent.
Raoul embodies the nostalgic rock romance of the 1980s, while Dicklan navigates through male stereotypes. Lil·X·ir embraces activism and gender fluidity, Mama Tituba enchants magical performances, and Enby Valent breaks gender boundaries with transgressive expression.
Together, they form the inclusive world of La Barakakings, the Brussels collective that makes visible the diversity of drag art and the people who practice it.

Productrix, song-writer, performer et DJ protéiforme, gærald est la mother of ceremony des soirées Hot Bodies of the Future et des chorales Hot Bodies.
De la transe collective au songwriting le plus minimal, la musique pop(ulaire) doit se vivre comme une expérience des sens, une communion des émotions et des instincts. C’est en tous cas l’approche créative que défend gærald depuis ses débuts.
Iel revient aujourd’hui à une certaine forme de dépouillement avec un nouveau disque réalisé par le producteur Don Turi, (Jeanne Added, Chien Noir, etc) oscillant entre cold wave en clair obscur, songwriting synthétique et mélodies pop. Loin de renier ses envies de déconstruction et de révolution, l’artiste renoue avec la puissance d’évocation des protests songs originelles et un dénuement revendiqué comme un héritage sous-jacent des émois (post)adolescents.
A l’écoute de ses nouveaux morceaux, on pourrait se persuader qu’iel ne parle qu’à nous et qu’iel ne chante que pour nous. Et puis, quand se superposent sensations, strates et images, on ressent l’élévation rendue possible par une musique qui touche à l’universalité, qui referme les plaies et invite à l’oubli.
Les plus belles révolutions commencent au plus près du cœur, dans la proximité des corps et des souvenirs. Avec cette nouvelle étape, gærald allume un nouveau feu, nourri par ses expériences passées et prouve la pureté singulière de sa créativité.

“The secret for this so long going on party, is the happy mix of styles and ages”
The first ever LA DEMENCE party took place almost 30 years ago in 1989 ! What began as a weekly gay party on Sundays in small cities around Belgium has now become one of Europe’s biggest and most renowned parties.
The concept really came into its own and became a roar-away success when the parties settled down in the capital, Brussels, in 1992, and from then on took place in a regular monthly slot at Fuse club: the day before a bank holiday or on a Friday. Besides that,each anniversary at Halloween a full party weekend with several parties is organised, including a huge Main Party at Palais 12.
What makes LA DEMENCE stand out from the other gay parties is the happy mix of different styles and ages partying together: leather boys, bears, fashion victims, muscle queens, drags, young and old – in total in excess of 2000 gays having one hell of a party together. This happy mix creates a family feeling which is the secret of this so long going on party!
As Brussels is strategically placed as a city, LA DEMENCE attracts visitors from France, The Netherlands and Germany as well as hot sexy Italian, Swiss, Spanish, British and American boys.
The venue at Fuse club is huge – containing three different rooms which has the advantage of offering an eclectic range of music delivered by eight international DJs progressing from techno to house, with even a smattering of pop in the smaller room.
Great music and a great crowd also makes LA DEMENCE very sensual, so there are a few darker areas well worth exploring for those looking for a more than just a dance.
