Our objectives

The objectives of Brussels Pride -

Providing a platform for advocacy: Brussels Pride 2024 is also an opportunity for the LGBTQIA+ community to make its voice heard and to put forward its demands for the improvement of its rights and living conditions.
Celebrating diversity: Brussels Pride - in the Capital of Europe aims to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community and to promote tolerance and acceptance of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Raising awareness: The event aims to raise awareness of the issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community, such as discrimination, prejudice and violence. The city of Brussels is doing everything possible to allow the community to live and enjoy the European capital freely and without hindrance.
This objective is in line with the theme of this year's event: "Safe Everyday Everywhere".
Promoting equal rights: The event aims to promote equal rights for LGBTQIA+ people and encourage governments and institutions to implement inclusive policies for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Creating a community: The event also aims to bring the LGBTQIA+ community together and create a space where everyone can feel safe, supported and connected. Safer Pride zones will be set up and open throughout the day in the heart of the different zones (read more).
